Dessert Recipes

I love cooking and anything I can cook I will cook it. With that said I want to talk about desserts. For Thanksgiving and Christmas last year 2010, I made some 7-up pound cakes. They came out so wonderful and they was really good. What is your favorite dessert to make or what dessert did your mom or grandma make that you just love and have to have.

My favorite would be "ANYTHING" and I say that because I love to cook and anything I can get my hands on I'm going to cook it. I also love trying out new things and my family really enjoys it also.

If you could try a new dish  what would you try and why?

November 20, 2010 The Mac & Cheese

Well I had somebody that request to know about some info about the famous MAC & CHEESE. I decided to concentrait on the pasta. The one major problem we have when we make mac & cheese is over cooking our macaroni noodles. When cooking pasta we should cook it to"al dente." Also when cooking your pasta make sure you start off with a LARGE pot with plenty of water and that the water is cold. When you have a large pot of water this prevents the pasta from sticking together. Another thing is to make sure you DO NOT put oil in the water; if you put oil in the water it coat the pasta preventing the pasta from sticking. I hope these few tips help you in the process of making your mac & cheese. We will take the time out to do a blog on pasta. Again this has been Chef LADY "B".

If you have a dish that you would like me to focus on.....please let me know and I will find information out for you like for example what is the best way to prepare the dish. Once again this is Chef Lady "B".

YOUR SAFTEY!!!!!

I just wanted to bring it to some people attention; that when you are grocery shopping to please remember to always check the dates on your products. You should even check the date on your can goods as well. When you buy produce please remember "DO NOT" wash it before you store it. This will cause the produce to go bad quicker. Also please remember it is not safe to leave "ANY" meat out over night to thaw out, you should let the meat product thaw out in the refrigerator. This is just some hints to help us become safer cooks.
Always remebr that Lady "B" is here if you have any question!!!!!

********IMPORTANT*********
THIS ALSO GOES FOR OUR TURKY: I KNOW THANKSGIVING IS COMING UP SO TAKE IT OUT THE FREEZER A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND LET IT THAW OUT IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!!
